Life gets in the way, yes, but also sometimes it just takes this long
I have written over 8k words for chapter 19 of Masks and about 5k for chapter 20.
Those are mostly the wrong words and I need to keep poking them until they become the right words.
This is not the same thing as a writer's block.
I can write and have been writing - I've written a whole Doctor Who one-shot, worked on my manuscript, wrote a bunch of Persona 5 stuff I'm not sure I'll ever publish - it's just that the story is being unruly. You see, it's ending and I have to land this just right.
(20 may or may not be the last chapter. I'm still trying to see how it actually ends. Then again, I usually don't know a story ended until I write the last word.)
I probably should just take a walk, but depression being what it is, I haven't been Outside in about a month. I tell myself it's because rainy winters are the worse, but honestly it's just depression and ADHD joining forces so that I will be in shut-in mode while not realizing it.
